Random Encounter of the Best Kind

Random Moment of the Day
Today at work was quite the busy one. Never helps when prices in my area are extremely low on popular items, in addition to being the only one who is opening that section. So needless to say, I had plenty of time to kill between inquiries from customers, management and just work needing to be done. So how do I kill time while working? I sing with the radio. But something random and entertaining happened today. It just so happened that my singing to the radio at work sparked quite the random moment. While singing in the back, at a quieter than normal voice, a customer opens the door for a product near me. This customer is, to my surprise, also singing to the song that is on the radio. We both look at each other with a quizzical look on each our faces and stop for a second. What followed was what made this moment one for the records. We both started right back up leading right into, and through, that chorus.

Conversation between co-workers...
What better way to spend time at work, then to actually work. I actually much prefer the random conversations that go on between associates while we work. The topic today, besides guy talk and random games, a new game to play which is sorta a fill in the blank. While talking about going out to grab a drink, I said
“I’m no alcoholic, I just like the bottle.”

And so the deliveries begin...
So there I was laying peacefully in my bed this morning, dreaming of ever expanding meadows and pretty, pretty things. Okay, I lied, wasn’t really dreaming of that… but the laying in bed peacefully part was true. While laying there what do I hear but the chiming of the doorbell, to which I sprung up to see who was there. To my surprise, to a certain degree, it was a delivery man with a package for me. Indeed I was expecting a package, well 3 different packages to be exact, but never expected it this soon.
I had ordered Insanity Workout so that I can tone myself a little bit more as well as provide myself a challenge to reinstate my confidence and determination. To prove to myself that I have what it takes to take this challenge head-on and beat it. I was most pleased when I signed for this package, even if it was slightly larger than expected. The plan calendar sets everything out in a weekly agenda starting on a Monday. Unfortunate for me, so to speak, that I hadn’t prepared my room for such an occasion as starting the program this very Monday. I shall start this new challenge of mine next Monday once I’ve rearrange the contents of my room. Fitness journal will be updated on the weekly, and you can all read of it in my upcoming blogs.
Now onto the other packages that are on route, one of which is all of the seasons of the newest Doctor Who. The second is the newest book by Christie Golden in the every expanding universe of Warcraft. Both of these items are going to be arriving within 2 - 3 days, and will serve as perfect post-exercise means to pass the time. All of these items were quite the steal, more so to the fact that my paycheck has gone out as quickly as it was put in.

Nostalgia moments
Summer. The time to get out and enjoy oneself, take in the sun and maybe get a tan. Plan a trip with family or friends and just get out of the ritual onto something new and interesting for a change. That is how most people would spent their summer. Now I’m not saying I am not doing any of these things, I just find myself balancing out some leisure with work and house related things. One of these house related things is respects to redesigning my room to make it more spacious. During this I came across some things from my past: a cast from when I broke my pinky finger 2 weeks before a French exam (did I mention it was on my writing hand), certificate from AeroTech, not to mention some cards from my 16th Birthday. Brought back quite a few memories from when I was younger, going as far back as 10 years. One of my crown jewels of my nostalgic times is some advice that my best friend from high school gave me that I’m going to share with you. The advice given to me was:
“Don’t fuck any 3ft tall nuns, because there aren’t any!!!”
If you take anything from this let it be that you should not forget the past, no matter how bad because you will always have those totems for you to fall back to.
